Support & Barriers

At times the Parent Education Program can offer support to help remove a barrier to attending classes. Please check all that apply:

FREE Parenting Classes for Parents and Caregivers

Triple P Primary Care (one-on-one) — two to four sessions

A brief, targeted intervention in a one-to-one format that assists parents and caregivers to develop parenting plans to manage behavioral issues including tantrums, fighting, and aggression, with a strong focus on skill development such as eating independently, toilet training, and staying in bed at night. Can be completed in-person or virtually.

Triple P Level 3 (Birth–12 years) Discussion Group — five different topics

Attend one or all! For parents and caregivers of children birth to 12 years with mild to moderate behavioral difficulties. Topics: Dealing with Disobedience, Managing Fighting and Aggression, Developing Good Bedtime Routines, Hassle-free Shopping with Children, and Hassle-free Mealtimes with Children. Completed in-person.

Triple P Level 4 (Birth–12 years) Discussion Group — five-session series

For parents and caregivers of children birth to 12 years with more severe behavioral difficulties. Covers Triple P’s core positive parenting skills, adaptable to a wide range of situations, emphasizing strategies for promoting children’s development and building a positive parent-child relationship. Completed in-person.

Triple P Level 4 Stepping Stones (Birth–12 years) Discussion Group — six-session series

For parents and caregivers of children birth to 12 years who have a disability or developmental delay. Covers positive parenting techniques, strengthening your relationship with your child, encouraging positive behavior, teaching new skills, managing misbehavior, and planning for difficult situations, with special consideration for disabilities and delays. Completed in-person.

Triple P Level 4 Teen (12–17 years) Discussion Group — five-session series

A broad-based parenting intervention for parents of teenagers up to 17 who want to learn a variety of parenting skills — causes of adolescent behavior problems, setting goals, promoting skill development, managing inappropriate behavior, teaching emotional self-regulation, and planning around risk-taking. Completed in-person.

First Five Years (Birth–5 years) Group Setting — three to four-session series

For parents with children birth to five years. Covers child development, interactions between you and your child, preventing problem behaviors, encouraging positive behavior, and preparing for school success. Completed in-person.

Parent Project (12–17 years) Group Setting — ten-session series

A Parent’s Guide to Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior. Focuses on raising difficult teens and addresses the most destructive adolescent behaviors. Includes free Mentor Academy for teens 12–17 and free childcare for children under 12 — let us know at registration if you would like either service. Completed in-person.
