Children’s Committee
The Children’s Committee is the advisory group for the Help Me Grow
system in Fairfield County. This committee helps plan Help Me Grow
activities and services and approves Help Me Grow policies. The
Parent Sub-Group of Children’s Committee is a very important group
for Help Me Grow. This group brings parents together to get input
about services to ensure that Help Me Grow meets the needs of
children & families.
What is Children’s Committee?
The Children’s Committee is a group that plans and coordinates
community services for children from birth to eight (8) years old in
Fairfield County. “Enabling every child to succeed.”
Mission
In the pursuit of a better quality of life for all children,
conception to age eight (8) and their families in Fairfield County,
it is the mission of the Fairfield County Family, Adult & Children
First Children’s Committee to create and facilitate a coordinated
system of services that responds to the strengths and needs of our
community, creating an environment that enables every child to
succeed.
Who is on the Children’s Committee?
Anyone is welcome to be involved with the Children’s Committee.
Staff from different community agencies are involved with this
committee as well as parents of children ages birth to eight (8).
What does Children’s Committee do for families?
The Children’s Committee works hard to plan and coordinate services
in Fairfield County. However, the Children’s Committee also provides

Where/When
are the meetings held?
Call the FACF Council at 740-687-6771 for meeting location.
Meetings begin at 5pm and end at 7pm, quarterly.
What if I can’t afford a babysitter or transportation to the
meetings?
Child care is available at Children’s Committee meetings. Also,
parents who attend will receive a small payment for attending in
order to pay for transportation and time.
